For larger shade areas and larger boats, in order to provide more stability for the Separating Mounting Bases, use the oval shaped stainless steel MOUNTING PLATE to give a wider, more secure footprint. To install, can use counter sunk screw – either a machine screw or self tapping screw. 1/4 machine screw (size 14) self tap outside on the mounting plate, and to attach receiver to the mounting plate, use M6 screw.
